Travel

If we live truly, we shall see truly. – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Not everyone wants to travel the world, but most people can identify at least one place in the world they’d like to visit before they die. Where is that place for you, and what will you do to make sure you get there?

Australia!

No part of Australia is more than 1000 km from the ocean and a beach. Thats my kind of continent!

First order of business…Go swimming with the fishes at the Great Barrier Reef!

The Great Barrier Reef is the largest organic construction on earth.

Wow! Look at those lips. Angelina Jolie’s got nothing on this fish.

After some serious snorkeling and scuba diving, then its time to relax on the beach with my friend Joey!

Male kangaroos are called bucks, boomers, jacks, or old men; females are does, flyers, or jills, and the young ones are joeys.

There goes Kanga & Roo!

As the sun sets in Australia it is time to head on over to Sydney for a little taste of the night life!

Now that’s a city!

The bridge in the above photo is called the Sydney Harbor Bridge. Click here to see what will be on the agenda tomorrow, but first…

I don’t care what is playing at the Sydney Opera House. I am there!

Wish I could be there tomorrow for the Chris Cunningham Show!

A little bit of a tangent here because Chris Cunningham is a friggin awesome music video director!

Enjoy…

Back to Austalia! Lets head to the outback

Coolest road sign ever!

Hanging out with these cool dudes is a must! I mean if they can live off the land in the Australian desert then I want to learn a bit of their survival wisdom.

The Aboriginal people are so badass! They have created over 230 languages and never felt the need to have a written language (they talk with each other instead).

“The land owns us; we don’t own the land. The land owns us; we don’t own the land. We are part of the land. From the time we are children we learn the songs and stories about the land.”

Survival Tip #1: Patience

This journey to Australia is going to be a lot of fun, but there is one minor detail that concerns me…

There are 1500 species of Australian spiders.

Some of them large enough to kill birds!!!

This dude is down right scary!

One more in case you weren’t creeped out on the last two.

I think I will be able to overcome my fear of spiders and someday make it to Australia, but how will I get there you ask? Flying in a plane would be too easy. Taking a cruise would not nearly be adventurous enough, so here’s the plan.
